Rawalpindi: A dignified ceremony was organized under the auspices of the Pasban-e-Watan Welfare Foundation in Rawalpindi in connection with Kashmir Solidarity Day to express solidarity with the oppressed people of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
According to Global Mirror, among other the event was attended by the wife of jailed Hurriyat leader Muhammad Yasin Malik, Mishaal Hussain Malik; Vice President Friends of Kashmir and Hurriyat leader Abdul Hameed Lone and President Pasban-e-Watan Shehzad Dilawar along with a large number of political and social leaders and activists.
Speakers at the event said that the Kashmiri people have been facing Indian oppression and brutality for decades but remain steadfast in their resolve. They reaffirmed that the Pakistani nation stands shoulder to shoulder with its Kashmiri brothers and sisters and will continue to extend full moral, political, and diplomatic support to their just freedom struggle.
