Srinagar: Indian forces have intensified restrictions and launched search operations in Srinagar on the visit of Indian Home Minister Amit Shah to Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
According to Global Mirror, Indian forces carried out a surprise cordon and search operation in the Abi Guzar area of Srinagar as Amit Shah is scheduled to visit the Kashmir Valley, today. The operation triggered fear and uncertainty among local residents.
Officials said the forces sealed all entry and exit points leading to the Abi Guzar locality, which comprises several residential and commercial establishments, including shops. During the operation, searches of multiple premises were conducted and passersby were subjected to frisking and identity checks.
