Imphal: Tension remains high in Manipur’s Imphal East district following fresh rounds of firing reported from the Sinam Kom Hills.
According to Global Mirror, several rounds were fired, prompting Indian forces to intensify surveillance and monitoring in nearby locations. No casualties have been reported so far.
This is the third such incident at the same hill range since the formation of the new State Government. Earlier, firing incidents were reported on the night of February 4 and again on the morning of February 5, indicating a troubling pattern of repeated provocation.
