Srinagar: Posters have appeared in different areas of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, urging people to observe a complete shutdown on February 11, the martyrdom anniversary of prominent Kashmiri leader Muhammad Maqbool Butt.
According to Global Mirror, India sent prominent liberation leader Muhammad Maqbool Butt to the gallows in New Delhi’s Tihar Jail on February 11, 1984. On February 09, 2013, New Delhi hanged Muhammad Afzal Guru in the same jail. The bodies of both Afzal Guru and Muhammad Maqbool Butt were buried within the jail premises.
The posters, displayed in various parts of the territory and carrying pictures of martyrs Muhammad Maqbool Butt and Muhammad Afzal Guru, said that the struggle of martyrs against India’s illegal occupation of Kashmir will continue.
