Kota (Rajasthan): At least two people were killed after a three-storey building collapsed in Kota city, Rajasthan, on Saturday evening, officials said. Several others are feared to be trapped under the debris, prompting an urgent rescue operation.

Soon after receiving information about the collapse, police and rescue teams rushed to the spot and began relief work. So far, five people have been rescued from the rubble and admitted to nearby hospitals for treatment.

Officials said debris removal is ongoing, and heavy machinery has been deployed to clear the site carefully, as there are concerns that more people may still be trapped beneath the collapsed structure.

The exact cause of the building collapse is yet to be confirmed. Authorities have launched an investigation to determine whether structural weakness, illegal construction, or poor maintenance led to the incident.

Rescue operations are continuing, and officials said further details will be shared as the situation develops.
