New Delhi: A 14-year-old Rohingya refugee boy was stabbed to death in New Delhi, with social psychologists citing rising hate mongering behind such incidents across India.

According to Global Mirror, the incident occurred after a heated argument broke out with a group of teenagers in a residential area. The altercation, which began between the boys who lived in the same locality, soon turned violent. The four accused boys attacked the victim, a minor, with a sharp object, resulting in his death.

One of the representatives for Rohingya refugees, Hussaid Ahmed, told the media that the altercation began after the victim, who was on his way to offer prayers, was halted by the accused boys. The boys reportedly teased him and two other minor Rohingya refugees. After the attack, the victim was taken to Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital but couldn’t survive due to the injuries sustained.
