Srinagar: The All Parties Hurriyat Conference has expressed deep concern over the continued arrests of freedom leaders, activists, and youth in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
According to Global Mirror, APHC spokesperson Advocate Abdul Rashid Minhas in a statement issued in Srinagar called for the immediate release of all political detainees. He urged the UN Human Rights Council to intervene and ensure the safety and medical treatment of prisoners, many of whom are suffering due to inadequate facilities in Indian jails.
The APHC highlighted the plight of leaders including Masarrat Aalam Butt, Muhammad Yasin Malik, Shabbir Ahmed Shah, Aasiya Andrabi, Naeem Ahmad Khan, Ayaz Akbar, Pir Saifullah, Merajuddin Kalwal, Farooq Ahmad Dar, Shahidul Islam, Fahmida Sofi, Nahida Nasreen, Advocate Mia Abdul Qayoom, Bilal Siddiqi, Maulvi Basheer Irfani, Mushtaq-ul-Islam, Qasim Fakhtoo, and thousands of other Kashmiris who have been imprisoned by India for decades.
