Srinagar: In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, human rights activists and civil society members have strongly condemned Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s proposed visit to Israel next week, terming it a meeting of “two occupiers united by repression.”

According to Global Mirror, the criticism came after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu confirmed that Narendra Modi will visit Israel for high-level talks on defence, technology and strategic cooperation. Activists in IIOJK said the visit reflects deepening military and intelligence collaboration between New Delhi and Tel Aviv at a time when both regimes face global criticism for war crimes and human rights abuses in their respective occupied territories.

Civil society representatives described Modi and Netanyahu as “two sides of the same coin,” accusing them of butchering Kashmiris and Palestinians in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir and occupied Palestine. They said the alliance between the two governments has emboldened aggressive military policies, demographic engineering and the suppression of dissent in both regions.
