Srinagar: The High Court of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir has granted the Modi-led Indian regime additional time to respond to petitions challenging the ban on 25 books dealing with Kashmir’s history and politics.
According to Global Mirror, the books, including works by prominent authors and historians, were deemed “anti-India” and forfeited by the Modi government in August 2025.
Petitioners argue that the ban is an attack on freedom of expression and an attempt to stifle dissenting voices.
